Over the years, I've spent thousands of hours searching the internet for credible information on cancer treatments.  There is a lot of information out there, and that is an understatement.  Much of it is pretty good.  Most of it is "safe" to a fault, or "dangerous" to a criminal degree.

Most patients, at least those that are trying to take an active role in their treatment, are looking for "actionable" information.  The most discerning patients are aware of the fact that their oncologist doesn't know everything, and that their oncologist like any business person, will be most familiar with modalities that offer compensation for services rendered.  This doesn't mean that the oncologist is "evil," as some would have you think.  It does mean that the oncologist is human.

So, where can you find innovative, but responsible information?  In my experience, the most thorough, balanced and rational information can be found in a  Moss Report specific for one's cancer diagnosis.  Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D. has a website where you can order a 400-500 page report on your particular cancer.  I don't know of anyone or any other service that offers the level of competent information you will find in a Moss Report.  You can read more about Dr. Moss below

Another interesting site, though not nearly as exhaustive as a Moss Report is the Life Extension foundation website where you can find some good information on various protocols.  Keep in mind that the Life Extension Foundation makes its money by selling supplements, and Dr. Moss makes a living by selling information.  I don't have a problem with either one.  People deserved to get paid for their labors.  If you have any question or concern, I urge you to contact me.     I really do want you to have solid information.

So, below, and in order of preference I discuss Dr. Moss and give you links to his information and following that, links to the Life Extension Website.  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

What would I do if I had cancer?

If you were to meet me in person, you might ask a very important question: what would I do if I had cancer?  This question pushes me to my deepest convictions.  It is absolutely immoral to "spin propaganda" when asked this question.  The question leads to many more questions: what kind of cancer, insurance coverage, financial resources, age, ability to travel, stage of the disease...the list goes on and on.  THE MOST IMPORTANT COMMODITY is knowledge.  If you've perused this site, you already know that I am skeptical about any miracle cures, many of which you have no doubt seen advertised on the internet.  Most of it is sheer manure, and the vendors are shamelessly profiteering on the misery of the afflicted.  On the other hand, I've had two friends die this year of cancer.  Both elected to absorb the full barrage of chemotherapy (one had a stem cell transplant).  Both died after suffering terribly from the treatment.  If they would have had the right knowledge, one might have lived, and the other could have had a more humane passing.  Having said all of this, let me cut right to the chase.  The most knowledgeable person I know of when it comes to ALL the issues is Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D.  A Biography of Dr. Moss is at the end of this section.   Not only is Dr. Moss knowledgeable about the scientific aspects of cancer, he has a profound empathy and unique insight into the psycho-spiritual dynamics as well.

Dr. Moss has written over 200 specialized reports for over 200 types of cancer.  The reports can be immediately downloaded.  Most are 400 to 500 pages and the information is not a bunch of cut and paste off the internet.  These reports are extensive, well researched, professionally written and regularly updated.  Ordering a Moss Report on my Cancer is the FIRST thing I would do. This is the best investment you can possibly make for yourself or a loved one.  A quick perusal of the table of contents of on of his reports will give you an idea of the scope of the report.

I know more about cancer than most lay persons.  I have a general idea of things that are possibly effective and things that offer no hope at all.  However, if I had cancer, I would need specific information as quickly as possible.  I know I would be getting pressured by my oncologist to do something fast (that "something" may not be the best thing) and I am sure my friends who are involved with alternative clinics would want me to come right away.  However, what I would really need to know is "WHAT IS MY SINGLE BEST SHOT...period."   Simply put, I would order the Moss Reports immediately.

Cancer Fighting Supplements

Over years of searching the web, I've found Life Extension Foundation to have consistently well-researched, balanced and informative information, and protocols.  LEF sells quality supplements (I take them myself), but their website provides valuable information even if you don't buy their supplements.  Their link is below. This will take you to a page where you can scroll through a list of protocols.  I've also provided some quick links to save you time.  Here's a hint.  When you jump to a rapid link, and arrive at the website, click on the text that says Print Version. This is a lot easier to read, and prints out very nicely.  Also, if you want scientific references from medical journals, click on the text that says References.  Their nutritional supplement protocols are well documents, and their supplements are pharmaceutical grade.
